Conditions treated

Understanding what is causing your pain is the first step. These are the conditions Mr Edmondson diagnoses and treats every week.

Hip

Groin, thigh or outer hip pain with many causes, we find the source before treating it.
The everyday name for hip arthritis, eased in stages from physiotherapy to hip replacement.
Deep groin pain that often signals hip arthritis, treated from simple measures to surgery.
Early stiffness that eases as you move, often the first sign of hip arthritis.
Reduced hip movement that limits daily tasks, usually treatable once the cause is clear.
Low back and buttock pain from the sacroiliac joint, where getting the diagnosis right matters.
Overlapping pain from the spine, hip or pelvis, pinned down before it is treated.
Arthritis of the hip is extremely common affecting both young and old.

Knee

Pain from cartilage, arthritis or overload, matched to the right treatment after assessment.
A common cartilage tear, treated with rehabilitation or keyhole surgery depending on the tear.
A catching or locking knee that points to a mechanical problem worth checking.
Arthritis (inflammation and pain of a joint) is caused by damage to the cartilage covering the joint surfaces.

Sports Injuries

Sports injuries to the hip or knee, from meniscal tears to fractures, assessed and treated by Mr Mark Edmondson.

Painful Joint Replacements

A hip or knee replacement that has become painful, stiff or unstable can usually be assessed and put right.
